Personality

• Soft-spoken
• Cautious
• Tends to only emote in a fairly reserved fashion
• Good listener; knows a fair bit of stuff because of it
• He likes people watching. and eavesdropping
• He's not spineless but his weakpoints are easy to spot and easy to exploit, so it's not hard to coax him into doing what you want
• Still speaks (sings?) the Qalli dialect well but tries to not slip into it around people outside of the tribe. (He doesn't always succeed.)
• However, when he talks to himself it's nearly always in his native dialect.

Background

He had a fairly normal upbringing for his tribe. His parents are still alive, and he has an older sister named Yesui. He got along a lot better with his sister when they were younger, but there's still some measure of fondness to this day.

Growing up he received a lot of romantic attention, but while he gave most people a chance, he never ended up really bonding with anyone he dated. (Well, there was one person, but... he's dead now.)

He decided to travel after spending a bit of time around Reunion.

After leaving the steppe he found his way to Ul'dah. Figuring it was the best way to travel and pick up new things, he joined a group of adventurers: Austrex, Hironari, and Yuyurin. Austrex, as he's wont to do, hit on Khaishan near immediately. Fortunately (?) Khaishan took well to his advances.

Over the course of several months, the two grew closer and what started as something casual turned into genuine fondness and now they're a terrible mushy lovey-dovey couple that no one likes to be around.
